Jan. 9^th  Beijing-Hongkong China Environmental Prize Propaganda Tour was initiated in Beijing, sponsored by CEPF, Bank of China and PhoenixTV. The tour, comprising 53 volunteers and representatives from Olympic champions, TV stars and entrepreneurs such as Yaoming, Wu Xiaoli and Wang Yan(CEO of Sina.com), started from Beijing and passed through provinces of Hebei, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong and arrived Hongkong. It was the first environmental protection advocating tour from mainland China to Hongkong.

March 26^th  The first non-government organization award for wildlife conservation, funded by CEPF in coordination with the US-based Wild Aid, was granted to five Chinese individuals and collectives, which were Beijing-Shishou Wapiti program, Datian National Nature Reserve, Hainan, Anti-Smuggling Bureau, Wulumuqi Customs and individuals were Zhang Chunshan and Yang Xin.

March 29^th  2005 International Investment Forum on China Environmental Protection, organized by China Environmental Protection Foundation, China International Center For Economic And Technical Exchanges and UNDP, opened in Beijing.

April 27^th  “The Blue Sea Initiative” publicity was launched in People’s University of China by department of pollution control of State Environment Protection Administration and CEPF.

June 1^st  “2005 China Green Consumption Quiz Competition” was initiated by CEPF.

June 3^rd  China Model City Forum on Environmental Protection opened at People’s Great Hall. The title was conferred to Shenyang, Klamayi, Kuerle, Chengdu, Fuyang, Baoji and Chongqing Yubei. Mr. Zeng Peiyan, Vice Prime Minister, Mr. Xie Zhenhua, Administrator of SEPA attended the ceremony.

July 21^st  CEPF was granted Special Consultative Status by UN ECOSOC. CEPF is the first NGO in China attained this honor. Hitherto, there have been sixteen NGOs attained the status.

August 15^th  “Green Orient---Public Advocacy of 2005 China Environmental Prize” initiated in Shendong Coalfield. The serial activities comprise “City Environmental Protection Exhibition Tour”, “Case Advocacy of Environmental Protection”, “Green Orient---2005 China Environmental Prize Award Ceremony”.

September  The Geping GreenAid Project initiated. Hitherto October, 2005, there had been six rural region who applied for sponsor.

Dec. 1^st Qu Geping Scholarship was awarded to three talent students of Shandong University.

December CEPF, as the first NGO attained the special consultative status with UN ECOSOC in environmental protection, was invited by UN-Habitat as its China Partner and to assistant in “The Third World Urban Forum” opened on the 9^th to 23^rd of June, 2006.

Dec. 3^rd  China Environmental Protection Forum2005 on Metallurgy and The Special Fund for Environmental Protection on Metallurgy of CEPF Annual Meeting opened at People’s Great Hall. More than 140 metallurgical businesses and 50 media attended the meeting.

Dec. 8^th  Circular Economy and Green Marketing Strategy Forum was hosted by CEPF at People’s Great Hall. Mr. Ye Rutang, Vice Chairman of Environment and Resource Protection Committee of National People's Congress Standing Committee, Mr. Zhang Qia, Vice Director of the Subcommittee of Human Resources and Environment of CPPCC, Ms. Wang Jirong, a member of the National Committee of the CPPCC and former deputy minister of the State Environmental Protection Administration (SEPA), Mr. Lin Zongtang, Vice Honorary President of CEPF, had attended the forum. Twenty businesses and sixty-seven network membership collectivities were awarded the Green Products Prize.
