March 22^nd   A series of performances of public advocacy for protecting drinking water were hosted by The International Foundation for Protection of Drinking Water（IFPDW） and CEPF. Hundreds of music stars participated in the activities.

May 17^th  Green Promise of The Youth--donating used books and news paper for recycling, was called by CEPF, Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation,  which aimed at promoting the environmental awareness of the youth.

Oct. 11^th  President Qu Geping was invited to “Fifty Years’ Anniversary for UN in China” hosted by the UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.

Oct. 15^th The Ministry of Finance and State taxation administrations issued that the donation of taxpayers to the China Environmental Protection Foundation can be included in the scope of the charitable contributions to commonweal. The enterprises and individuals are tax exempted for the donation.

Oct. 30^th  “The Second China Human Environment Forum” opened in People’s Great Hall.

Dec. 2^nd  President Qu Geping was invited to “The Sixth Meeting on Environment and Development of Asia and Pacific”.

Dec. 5^th  The press conference of “Advocacy Tour of China Urban Green Health 2004” and its initiation ceremony opened in Beijing.

Dec. 28^th  Qu Geping Scholarship was awarded to the talent students of Shandong University.
