On the morning of July 6, the theme event "Fostering Green Public Welfare for Harmonious Coexistence Between Humans and Nature", hosted by the China Environmental Protection Foundation (CEPF), organized by the Department of Civil Affairs of Guizhou Province, and supported by the British Consulate-General in Chongqing, was successfully held at the Eco Forum Global Guiyang. Innovative Practices: Exploring Green Development Models
During the keynote speech session, Deputy Secretary-General Wang Zhengang shared case studies from the “Zhenhua Green Transition and Sustainable Development Fund”, elaborating on the philosophy and actions behind "Practicing Sustainable Development and Building a New Green Paradigm", while showcasing the Fund’s achievements in low-carbon transition.
Gordon Watson, Director of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park (UK), and Ben Leavesley, Director of the Lake District National Park Authority (UK), shared their experiences in volunteer management, community engagement, and corporate support. Representatives from companies such as Meituan, Nike, Alibaba, and Melaleuca, as well as academics from Jiangnan University, presented their innovative practices in promoting green and low-carbon development.
The presentations were rich in content, featuring both internationally advanced ecological conservation concepts and domestic explorations in green transition and sustainable development. These insights provided valuable inspiration, deepening participants’ understanding of the importance and urgency of ecological civilization and reinforcing their determination to advance green public welfare.
