China Environmental Protection Foundation and Fonterra Fund: Creating a Green Future for Food Service Together
In 2024, the China Environmental Protection Foundation continued its partnership with Fonterra Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., implementing the "Fonterra Fund" public welfare project. This project aims to establish a unified platform for public welfare action in the baking industry, enhance the industry's green value and image, and promote low-carbon environmental protection in the food service sector. The project encourages participation from bakery brands and stores to support environmental protection and sustainable development through concrete actions.

In April 2024, our foundation joined forces with the Fonterra Group to successfully plant 200,000 haloxylon ammodendron saplings for wind protection and sand fixation in Bayannur City, Inner Mongolia. Through collaboration with Ant Forest, the impact of the public welfare forest project expanded from food service businesses to consumers, achieving enhanced online and offline interaction. Additionally, through the "Partner with Anchor, Protect Purity" public welfare project, the Fonterra Fund engaged customers across four major channels - bakery, beverages, food, and new retail food service - to continuously promote and practice the concept of "sustainable food service development." On November 6th of the same year, our foundation formally signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Fonterra Group at the 7th China International Import Expo, marking the beginning of in-depth cooperation between both parties in environmental protection to jointly promote new developments in environmental protection initiatives.

Looking ahead, both parties will continue to deepen their cooperation, jointly explore new paths for green development, and work towards building a better and more sustainable future.
