The 29th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) is held in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 11-22 November 2024. The theme of this year's conference is "In Solidarity for a Green World". Co-hosted by the China Environmental Protection Foundation, the China Association for NGO Cooperation and the SEE Foundation, the side event on "Responding to the Climate Change: Chinese Civil Society Organizations in Action" will be held on November 20 at the China Pavilion of the COP29 Blue Zone, Baku Olympic Stadium. This side event will invite representatives from governments, experts, international and social organizations to discuss how to consolidate the strength of environmental social organizations, promote multilateral cooperation and innovation, raise public awareness and participation, improve the competence of Chinese social organizations to address climate change, and help China achieve the double carbon goal.

The participation of civil society organizations in the Climate Change Conference is significant and important in several aspects:
1. Advocacy and Publicity: Civil society organizations can promote their views, policy proposals, and success stories on climate action at the Conference to increase public and decision-makers' awareness and attention to specific climate issues.
